Lesson 8 - Be Imperfect

You were meant to be a gemstone.

Of everyone you have ever met, who has ever worn pure Beryl?

No one. Ever.

But if you take perfect Beryl (Be3Al2(SiO3)6) and make it imperfect, by contaminating it with just a touch of chromium or vanadium, and you get an Emerald. And who doesn't love a Green Emerald?

Amethyst is pure Quartz (SiO2) with iron impurities.

Rubies are Corundum (Aluminum Oxide) with trace chromium impurities.

Sapphires are Corundum (Aluminum Oxide) with trace copper, titanium or magnesium impurities.

You were meant to be imperfect. That is your beauty.

Everyone has an element of a Wayward Spirit. Just a little. Like a pinch of salt in a stew to spice it up.

It is difficult to get along with people who act or claim to be perfect. They are all sincere, all good, all pure. They are boring and scary.

Because they are unconscious of themselves, and suddenly do terrible things without warning. Either to themselves or others. They make promises they are never going to fulfill. Because they want to talk right. These are not people to do business with, they will cheat you completely.

If you are aware that someone is a little imperfect, as you are, then you can feel comfortable. We are human. Let your guard or masks down and connect on a genuine level. You can compromise.

We are all meant to be imperfect.
